Mistakes do not make who we are.

So I have noticed something over the past few years of this life I have. Theres this attitude that seems to be apparent in not just the youth of the world but all ages. This attiude of "I am who I am. I am going to screw up but thats just life and if you can't accept that then you cannot accept me." Now I do not whole-heartedly rail against this thought system but I am not a card-carrying member either. See the sinful nature of humanity is a constant. I as well as everyone else will screw up. We will make mistakes. It will never stop until we see Jesus again. However this does not mean that your mistakes are part of who you are. Mistakes are something we do. God made us who we are. And I think it grieves him when we say that is part of our package as a person. We are not perfect. We are imperfect creations of a holy perfect God. We will fall but as we cling to God, he slowly fixes us and helps make mistakes less common. Mistakes will never dissapear. Mistakes will pain us and latch onto us as long as we live on this temporal place we call home for the short time we call life. Lets live in God's love and his grace and strive to do our best.
