Song Review : Conspiracy by Paramore

So my shuffle led me to review the song Conspiracy by Paramore. Its one of the more underrated songs by Paramore, unlike Misery Business and That’s What You Get.
Please speak softly, for they will hear us
And they'll find out why we don't trust them
Speak up dear cause I cannot hear you
I need to know why we don't trust them

Explain to me this conspiracy against me
And tell me how I've lost my power

Where can I turn? Cause I need something more
Surrounded by uncertainty I'm so unsure
Tell me why I feel so alone cause I need to Know to whom do I owe

Explain to me this conspiracy against me
And tell me how I've lost my power

I thought that we'd make it
Because you said that we'd make it through
And when all security fails
will you be there to help me through

Explain to me this conspiracy against me
And tell me how I've lost my power

I've lost my power

The song is one of my personal favorites. It comes off of paramore’s freshman album “All We Know Is Falling” Its theme is that of(you guessed it) conspiracies. It’s a theme I can understand. We all have had times I our lives when we just get into a rut of living. Things are common, predicable. We become happy and let out guard down. Then its like overnight, things change. We wake up and paradise has been lost. Then its all we can do to keep our head above water, accept the change, and adjust accordingly. Its not easy and all we want is someone to tell us what the heck is going on. Things we relied on are quaking beneath our feet and we feel tempted to jump to anywhere just to feel solid ground beneath our feet. And I hate to sound like a broken record but this song like underlines our need for God in our lives. God is that solid ground we need when paradise seems to be lost and everything is changing. He really is.
